While Ibiza has a reputation for being the island of choice for party people, and quite rightly so, couples after some quiet time and families hoping for fun in the sun with the kids shouldn’t discount it.

Known for being one of the classiest of clubbing destinations, those on the island take their decks and DJ’s very seriously, and only top notch sets make the grade.

For Couples

Es Cana is the ideal choice for couples looking to enjoy each other’s company in a quaint Ibizan village location. Es Cana beach has watersports on offer for active types, whereas the surrounding beaches of Cala Martina and S’Argamassa offer some secluded spots.

If you’re serious about shopping, you have to pay a visit to the Es Cana hippy market. Taking place every Weds between April and October, this vast market is the place to find stalls selling handmade goods from the artists, designers and craftspeople residing on the island, as well as worldwide wares from further afield.

For Kids

Playa d’en Bossa is the perfect destination for families with young children. Boasting the longest stretch of sand on the island and warm shallow waters, it’s ideal for a paddle, ball games and safe swimming. You’re also within a stones’ throw of the attractions and activities of San Antonio bay, and the peaceful Ibiza Old Town, so whether you feel like having a busy or a quiet day with the kids, you can.

Don’t make the mistake of avoiding Ibiza if you’re not into the club scene. The island has been heavily invested in in recent years, to broaden the appeal of Ibiza holidays to all.
