Paragliding in Bukit Jugra!

You all know how I am so scared of flying (yet I flew almost 30 flights this past year!). So when the trip by my magazine Gaya Travel for the "Jom Jelajah Koperasi" materialised last few weeks, they included Paragliding in it. Since the media group is quite large, they only open 10 spots for people to Paraglide. Me being crazy and all, opted to do it, voluntarily! :D

Paragliding in Malaysia is famous at Bukit Jugra in Banting, Selangor. With the height almost to 300metres above the sea level, once you step your foot on the hill of Bukit Jugra, your adrenaline will run wild. Like mine! 

It turned out that Paragliding in Malaysia is not something rare. I always thought Paragliding are only available in New Zealand, United Kingdom and Australia. In Malaysia, Paragliding is handled officially by Persatuan Luncur Udara Malaysia. These people fly like no like boss! I saw the photos and videos and went "WOAH YOU PEOPLE GOT GUTS!" :P

Since paragliding is all about the wind, I had to wait for a while for the wind to appear. It all purely your luck you see. In order to fly, we need wind blowing from the north so that the wings can pick up the wings and rise us into the air.

Btw, do you see that shoes of mine? The sole cracked while I was climbing and I only realized it when I got back. So I decided it's about time to order a new one and I found that I could do it fast online through Zalora! I'm gonna get a new boots for me to Paraglide! :D

Oh well, I wasn't planning to fly alone, I was trying for a tandem flying with a pilot of coz! In order to fly on your own, you have to go on special training with these awesome people. Unfortunately luck wasnt on our side, the wind wasnt blowing on the right direction like we wanted. But they did offer me a replacement anytime that I feel like flying! How awesome is that? :D

If you are thinking of Paragliding, do contact this people at the mentioned link above and I'm sure they will be glad to help you out with all your questions. The fees for tandem paragliding (with the videos and photos included I believe is only RM 200 (USD 45)! It's cheap!

That is Hetty and me frustrated of coz but we decided if we cant fly in the air, we land fly! It was totally awesome despite the wind condition, I did learn a lot! Time to calm my nerve and plan for another Paragliding session in Bukit Jugra! :D
