Cue singing in the forest- with mystical sound of the enchanted forest, birds chirping, wind blowing and the unggas chattering. That's how magical and blissful Ambong-Ambong Resort here in Langkawi.

I was very privileged enough to be given the chance to experience such wonderful place, that smell of forest and retreat. This secluded resorts are suite based-staying, with all units facing the immerse view of the sea from an elevated view of the hill. I saw hornbills too the other day!

When I was there, I've booked for the studio house/suite, considering how I am going to be staying alone and wanna have a retreat alone in Langkawi . The Studio suite I stayed on has the following features:

Every morning, I woke up to my fresh breakfast of Mueslies, fresh OJ and fruits. Doing nothing but reading while the birds serenating me, then I head down for a swim or so. Sometimes when Dr Baskaran from Ishan Spa has a Yoga session, he will invite me to join. That's how easy life is while staying at Ambong Ambong Langkawi.

Ever wonder how it feels like to live like those day in the colonial time. Na, you don't need time machine, all you need is to buy your flight ticket to Langkawi and book yourself a nice stay at Temple Tree Resort. With amazing arrays of different houses, no wonder I felt like I was transported back in time.

Was I?  Temple Tree is not your typical go-to resort, it is a place of indulgence.

People are just friendly here, from my favourite barrista Adi and Mas to the managers who made me feel really welcome- James and Andy are perfect. Not the just the frontline but everyone- even the room service ladies. I get the chance to get to know everyone considering how long I've stayed here.

The atmosphere here is very calming amidst the abode of beautiful swarm. I just sit down with my novel and rest my weary soul. That's how calming Temple Tree Resort Langkawi is.

It's great for me but I bet it's perfect for honeymooners and loving couple who need time off from work and busy life. Since I volunteered at Lassie Langkawi- we always come to the Straits Club to have a cuppa and laugh out to rest from our tiring times. Perfect place, friendly people- what more reason not to stay here at Temple Tree Resort Langkawi? 

I've stayed in different rooms and houses here in Temple Tree Resort Langkawi. I've experienced Colonial, Plantation and estate houses. Which I've been told that these houses are actually real houses taken from all around malaysia and restored to become part of the resort. How amazing is that?

For you guys not from Asia, this would be a great change of perspective considering how the houses here are relatively ASian and definitely not your typical hotel-like-stay. Would I recommend it? Yes definitely- especially to couple and honeymooners who seek a romantic getaway.

Where to Stay in Langkawi: Fox Hill Resort, Langkawi.

When the hustle & bustle of Kuala Lumpur was literally killing me (I mean it’s nice to visit Kuala Lumpur but to actually LIVE there? I beg to move out. Haha) I bought a one way ticket to Langkawi Island and the rest was history. I wanted a place to continue writing my draft for my first book, a peaceful place where I can laze around and do nothing. I asked a local-expat friend Vanessa Workman and she instantaneously suggested Fox Hill Homestay and Wellness Resort.

I was skeptical at first; you know too many places that claimed that they are champion at wellness and all. So there I was standing in complete amazement; Fox Hill Langkawi is indeed a wellness retreat centre. I was in for a total cleansing of my soul and heartache. It is a resort that goes beyond just being a resort- it felt like going back home, a really peaceful one.

Being a solo backpacker as usual, I was suggested the Tree Top House. The house was used as a storage store for the rice collected; the Malaysian people called it Kepok Padi. In fact all the houses in Fox Hill Langkawi have histories and stories behind every door.

The tree top house I stayed in a magical place- the moment I walked in I was in total awe. Overlooking the once-used-to-be meteor crater now is a mesmerizing- glistering view of paddy field with the stunning canvas of green mountainous of Langkawi.

“Am I really on an Island?” I asked myself. 

A lot of people asked me where to stay in Langkawi, how the rate is and what’s the best resort in Langkawi. As I recalled my experience, I can’t remember any as the last time I was in Langkawi Island as I was barely 10 years old. Too young to even appreciate the beauty of travelling eh? Now that I’ve gotten the chance to revisit and sorta live here for a month, I totally suggest you stay at Fox Hill Langkawi. 

I would like to thank Maria for being such a dear soul to me, for showing me that how much bigger life is compared to what I’ve seen, to appreciate life and live every second that am given, to believe in myself and do what is best for myself. If a morning fog appears magically after a cold night, so how Maria wisdom is- rare and very effectuating and every word she said to me give a pool of thoughts to wonder about. – I left Fox Hill, Langkawi feeling a million times better and definitely a new person. It’s the magic of Fox Hill Langkawi.

Stay and Spa at Palm Garden Hotel - IOI Resort, Putrajaya.

Hell yeah, I'm back!

Been a while again since I last updated (Kinda like my repertoire now..LOL). *forgive me lovelies*

Last few weeks, I was invited to participate in Kembara Kraft Selangor to showcase the craft industry in Selangor. All thanks to Gaya Travel, I was given the opportunity to stay at Palm Garden Hotel - IOI Resort, Putrajaya! 

Gheezzz...if you think that is it, you are wrong! Included was a special spa treatment by The Palm Spa. I felt like a king. :D

Upon arriving at this 4-Star hotel, I was served my welcome drink. Who doesn't like a nice cold drink after traveling for hours aites? You may pass me your glass anytime, bottom up! 

Situated at fringe of Putrajaya, I saw many business people chose to stay here. Well, they don't look like they are here on vacation with those briefcase and ties! :P

Having said that, the room was fairly furnished. Not that extravagant and not that shabby. What I like most is how the hotel was built, all walkway is facing the centre courtyard. So, you don't get the eerie feeling while walking alone back to your room.

and yes, I do think a lot about ghost. LOL 

Though the room was comfortable, I find it very disappointing that no Wi-fi was provided for the room nor the normal-cabled internet. I had to stay up all night at the Palm Cafe to just go online and do my work.  I was informed that they are in the midst of renovation and revamping the hotel. Hopefully when you guys stay there, Wi-fi is abundance! :) 

The wi-fi issue aside, now lemme share with you my experience at The Palm Spa. I was given 30 Minutes in the FIR Sauna since I told them that I miss my session at Fitology  Bangsar and a foot reflexology.

After  all the session, snack was served. A delightful way to end the day. 

My stay at Palm Garden Hotel - IOI Resort, Putrajaya was delightful. The spa treatment was top notch, I check out with an ease of mind and fully prepared for my next adventure. Thank you for hosting me! :D
