Bohol Island Tour :Dude, I saw Dolphins!

It's not everyday someone tap your back and say "Bro, you wanna go see dolphins? I am going out later". That's exactly how I felt when I read my itinerary, I got to go to see this really smart creature. I was sold. My alarm buzzer went off at exactly 5 am, I woke up and finally able to absorb that I am actually in Bohol, in my Premium Beach Front Suite at South Palms Resort Panglao. I am still in the Philippines and was about to go on Bohol Island Hoping! I took my gears, my beach towel and walked to the front desk, ready to embark on my Bohol Island Hopping journey and was told that I got my own boat, yes, all to myself!

As I walked to the Panglao beautiful white sand beach, I was greated by this beautiful sunrise and starfishes on the floor on the beach. What a start!

The day started with Dolpin Spotting near Balicasang Island. I was so excited because when I was traveling from Ubay to Tangbilaran, all I saw was beautiful sea and it got me thinking, this is perfect place to spot Dolphin! Dream come true and there I was waiting patiently to see one of the most intelligent creature on earth. Then they turned up, swiftly they go as they appeared. It was a beautiful moment to actually spot these Dolphin in their natural habitat instead of the zoo. It happen so fast that I didn't even get to take any photo.

We then docked at Balicasang Island for breakfast and island tour. Balicasang Island is a beautiful island with inhabitant of 80 families. It is the perfect diving spot in Bohol and it's the island where people from all around the world and Philippines come for snorkeling. I also saw several boats of divers. I guess I gotta comeback to dive here.

I am not really good with waters after what happened in Phi Phi Island, Thailand so my tourguide (who really want me to see the underwater world!) decided that I could just hold the stair on the boat and he will push the boat around. Dedication!

It was worth it and I gotta thank this guy, for I have conquered (albeit a little bit) of my fear and got to see some of the most amazing stuffs in my life. The underwater world in Bohol is so much different that what I have seen in anywhere else. I guess it's not too exaggerating too say that Bohol is "One of the places to see before you die".

The day didn't end there, as the boat cruises to the next destination, I sat down and took a nap. The wind brushes my hair and sound of the bottom of the boat collides with the sea water, it gave me some sense  of calmness. This place has a really good relaxing vibes. As the boat approached the next island which is called Virgin Island, I saw the stretch of white sandy beach, floating above the water. No trees, no grass, no building, just the sand on this island. Apparently it's a part of the stretch of Virgin Island (apparently bought by someone so rich in the Philippines, how I wish I own an island!). Whoever owned this paradise is one lucky man!

On Virgin Island, you can eat on the water. Yes, on the water with you feet dangling in the water and school of fishes swim by. It's beautiful, too beautiful too describe.

Thus, you should plan a visit to Bohol, Philippines and experience the Visayas unique geographical and cultures like no other. It's truly more fun in the Philippines!

Magical Majorca

source
To many, Majorca is the godfather of summer holidays. It has long been a favourite of sun-seekers and beach-lovers, who come here to soak up the warm rays on golden sands and relax for a week or two of castaway bliss. Many holidaymakers choose to come back here, year after year, for their annual fix of sun, sea and sand. So what makes holidays to Majorca so magical?

A large part of Majorca's appeal lies in its ability to attract holidaymakers from all walks of life. From clubbers to families, adventure-seekers to those looking for a week of relaxation, it's all here.

Majorca is a particularly popular spot for families. It boasts well-equipped resorts and family hotels, many of which offer great facilities such as pools, water parks, kids' clubs and more. Vibrant resorts like Alcudia and Palma Nova offer a lively mix of daytime activities for all ages, with plenty of bars, pubs and clubs for after dark.

Cala D'Or is a cracking resort on the island's east coast, which is home to beautiful sandy bays and an attractive marina, not to mention a superb selection of shops, bars and restaurants. On the quieter side is Santa Ponsa, a sleepy family-friendly resort on the south coast with a large beach and several smaller coves close by. At the opposite end of the scale is loud and lively Magaluf - a clubbers' paradise with stacks of nightclubs and booming bars.

And if you fancy a day in the city, head to capital Palma to satisfy your inner culture vulture! Here you can wander among beautiful buildings, explore its winding streets, melt some plastic in the fabulous boutiques and discover Palma's beautiful gothic cathedral. And, once you're ready for a break, you can take the weight off at one of the city's lovely pavement cafes or dive into a cosy restaurant for a classic taste of Spain.

Didn't I say that Majorca holidays are nothing short of magical?

Hong Kong Disneyland Revisited with HKDL Challenge Trail.

I revisited Hong Kong Disneyland again! Twice in the same year, that's magical isn't!

This time around I was invited for Hong Kong Disneyland Challenge Trail, a filming for NTV7 Breakfast Show. I couldn't say no can't I? What more this time around, I took the opportunity to play all the attractions in Hong Kong Disneyland that  baby princess(my little sister) didn't want to play when I was with her earlier this year.

What I like most about Hong Kong Disneyland is that it's relatively 4 hours away from Kuala Lumpur and it's easily accessible by all major flight. I flew in via Cathay Pacific (Yay, another airline to the list!) and the comfy flight prepared me for my Hong Kong Disneyland Trail Challenge!

Anyhow, little that I know that I would be staying at Hollywood Hotel AGAIN and when I told baby princess, all see can said was "Y U NO BRING ME?" All I could do was just laugh and said "It's work baby" without telling her that I had loads of fun playing! You can read all about the Hollywood Hotel in my post here.

Nothing better than starting the day a selfie! All geared up for HKDL Challenge Trail.

The Hong Kong Disneyland Trail was divided into a few challenges that involved some of the most interesting rides in Hong Kong Disneyland including the newly opened Mystic Manor.

We kicked off with a fun ride on the Big Grizzly Mountain ride! Honestly, I don't do well with high speed attractions whatmore having to focus on the challenge, which was to look for coloured cardboard and do movements accordingly. But I survived though I probably shouted some of the most ridiculous things on the ride!

The next round begins at what I thought the most innocent park in Hong Kong Disneyland - the Toy Story Land. Apparently the ride which was RC Racer we were taking wasn't any innocent, thank God I didn't have to do it. I have to thank Glen (the HKDL Challenge Trail NTV7 Breakfast Show winner!) to take the bullet for our Blue team. I did enjoyed reminiscing my childhood by loitering around The Toy Story Land - I wanna be a kid again!

After the gruesome ride, they decided that we can have a rather fun-loving ride at the Fantasyland in the
Mad Hatter Tea Cup Rides. Too bad I don't have photo on the ride, we were given equations to be solved while being spanned around! Our Blue team took it way too seriously and ended up counted everything wrongly! Talk about having engineers in our team, kidding! :P

Then the HKDL Challenge Trail continued at Main Street Usa where the Monster University(Yes, it exists people!) and the Animation Academy are for our next challenge. It all boils down to who knows how to to draw, too bad I only have hands for writing, my Mickey Mouse turned out 70 year older than he should be!

It then goes to the final challenge, which I had enticipated since before leaving Malaysia - the Mystic Point. It was here that that the both teams had to put our focus-brain on and focus on all the detailing in here. It was a combination of technology and tricks that gave us the chance to travel in the Antic of Lord Henry Mystic with his companion Albert the Monkey. It's such an enchanted journey that I nearly lose my focus. Definitely a MUST VISIT for anyone visiting Hong Kong Disneyland!

If you are keen to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, here are some reviews I have written:

  2. Hong Kong Disneyland Park Review

All in all, it was such a great trip - thanks to the organizer who made this trip possible and to the NTV7 The Breakfast Show people who were really nice to us and filmed us throughout the trip. I will be back! :D

Where to Stay in Langkawi : Ambong Ambong Resort, Langkawi.

Cue singing in the forest- with mystical sound of the enchanted forest, birds chirping, wind blowing and the unggas chattering. That's how magical and blissful Ambong-Ambong Resort here in Langkawi.

I was very privileged enough to be given the chance to experience such wonderful place, that smell of forest and retreat. This secluded resorts are suite based-staying, with all units facing the immerse view of the sea from an elevated view of the hill. I saw hornbills too the other day!

When I was there, I've booked for the studio house/suite, considering how I am going to be staying alone and wanna have a retreat alone in Langkawi . The Studio suite I stayed on has the following features:

Studio (46 m²)
  • King-sized or twin super single beds
  • En-suite bathroom with separate heated shower
  • Refrigerator, microwave oven and electric kettle
  • Indoor settees and outdoor seating for lounging
  • Air-conditioner and ceiling fans
  • Oh not to forget their-in-bed continental breakfast (which they happily customized to my diet too!)

Every morning, I woke up to my fresh breakfast of Mueslies, fresh OJ and fruits. Doing nothing but reading while the birds serenating me, then I head down for a swim or so. Sometimes when Dr Baskaran from Ishan Spa has a Yoga session, he will invite me to join. That's how easy life is while staying at Ambong Ambong Langkawi.

I guess you need that too now? ;)

On the same ground of Ambong Ambong Resort Langkawi is Ishan Spa, where they provide amazing arrays of spa treatments and retreats. Ishan Spa is definitely the best Spa in Langkawi!

If you are hungry for some authentic Japanese food, the best Japanese food in Langkawi is the Unkaizan Japanese Restaurant. This award winning Japanese Langkawi restaurant is located just down the hill of Ambong Ambong Resort

Why should you stay in Ambong Ambong Langkawi?

I personally believe that Ambong Ambong Langkawi offers more than just being a 5- Star resort, it's the foresty environment, postive cheerful people who works there(oh I miss the guy who used to drive me up and down the hill everyday, he is a chatty helpful young guy!) and the comfort of knowing that everything is very peaceful. It's a great place for anyone who needs a break from any hustle & bustle they have in life.

So, what are you waiting for, book your next flight out to Langkawi and book a stay at Ambong Ambong Langkawi- the Langkawi Rainforest Retreat!
